Dancin' in the Moonlight.

i still get goosebumps when i think about those who have been to outer space...those who have walked on the moon!
i can't even imagine what it must be like, what thoughts go through one's mind at such a moment?

i suspect i would be thinking something to the effect of:
"everyone can stop asking the old "if the moon was made of cheese" question, oh man, but if it were made of ribs...i could just feast while i am up here! oh! man i have the best one-upper-brag-story in the WORLD--i mean in the UNIVERSE.... 'you went to spain 3 times? cool! i've walked on the moon!' boom roasted..."
i have a feeling i would acquire many-a-ridiculous thoughts & ideas about having been to the moon...don't worry though, my eyes are too bad for me to become an astronaut. buzzkill. did you know, my dad really dreamt of being an astronaut but ran into the same dilemma? (well i am not sure how i expected you to know that...but you know what i mean)...
i could just see him bouncin' around up there on the moon, like a kid in a candy store...

so here's to the moon
& the first time it met our footprints.

happy 40th anniversary apollo 11.

p.s. kinda makes you realize how many amazing things we are capable of. simply wonderful.

  1. It is awesome, isn't it? My husband works at NASA, and when I go there I get to see the old retired Saturn Rocket. It's amazing to think that humans are capable of leaving Earth and discovering new things.

Oh, please do say hello!
